caposd.exe descriptions
CAPOSD.exe” is a startup driver program in some Lenovo laptops for the on-screen “CapsLock” and “NumLock” displays. It installs in “C:Program FilesLenovoLenovo CAPOSDCAPOSD.exe” and can be removed via the Control Panel. It needs the Energy Management software to work properly. Lenovo’s support site calls this a Lenovo program for the U310, U410, and their Touch versions, but a Quanta Computer program for the IdeaPad G-360. Some Lenovo laptops, moreover, appear to use entirely different drivers for the CapLock/NumLock OSD. Lenovo, founded in 1984 in Beijing, China, and now China’s leading PC company, both manufactures in-house and uses Quanta, a Taiwanese original design manufacturer founded in 1988, now the world’s largest, along with other firms. As of 2011, 94% of all notebook computers were built by Taiwan ODM’s but in 2013 market share began shifting to firms in China. This may explain differences in drivers among Lenovo models.;CapOSD stands for Cap s-Lock O n- S creen D isplay Driver; The free file information forum can help you find out how to remove it.
